This is a beautiful shoulder bag made out of wool felt, measuring 28cm by 22cm by 7cm, a good spacious size without being cumbersome. It has a zipped outside pocket and is lined with matching blue cotton. It is strong and well-made, with an appliquéd design of the Patak, or Endless Knot, the Tibetan symbol of interconnectedness. It has a wide comfortable shoulder strap which is long enough to go across your body.
These practical shoulder bags were made according to fair trade principles by Tibetan refugees in Dharamsala, North India. Using their traditional handicraft skills enables them to earn a living in a country with few economic opportunities for refugees.
